God Help Me I'm Lonely: Overcoming Loneliness

Hi everyone :)

The last year has been a tough one. 2020 was full of world events that rocked people even if they were far away from them. I hope you got through it okay. I hope you didn't stress out too much.

I have talked to people from Australia and other countries around the world and a common theme has come up: loneliness.

Are we supposed to be lonely in the first place? Sometimes the physical position someone is forced into can create a feeling of loneliness. For example, someone in prison, and all alone physically has little choice to bring people into his/her life. But also if someone is in a crowded place they can still feel lonely. The various restrictions and lockdowns imposed by Covid 19 have caused a great deal of depression and loneliness for people.

But God has a way out of loneliness. When I feel lonely I pray. But it is not just any prayer. I ask God to show me his love because when I feel his love for me then the problems of the world slip away as I focus on him. And I also ask God to help me. If my circumstance needs an actual person to come and help or if I need a miracle then I need God's help. I ask and believe for God's help and then I find the situation changing and he provides what I need.

Remember to call on God. He will help you to not feel lonely.
